Newbie looking at 1st home and need advice

Hello bp,

ok, I recieved a small amout of funds and my heart is to grow it. I'm Commited to doing this as i got tuned into bigger pockets and here I am. I'm as green as they come, I was a stay at home mom, and now my son has graduated college and now I'm free to do this.

I have No experience with construction, Buying real estate other than my own But I started to "Drive for dollars" and ran across a empty home with a Contractor sign in front, I called he said he was working on it,  but he would sell it to me "As Is " f I was interested. Or, sell it to me and do work on it for me. I'm going to look at it today, My questions and Concerns:

*if the price is "right"  is it logical to ask him to owner finance and keep the small amount of cash I have to fix it up myself ?

*If its a possibility for Contractor/owner to owner finance how would I even present that to him along with maybe the work order even not knowing this man?

I'm pretty much on my own, But my hubby is in Finance so that's all I have going for me at this point.

thank you for Any Advice

Liza
