Finding owners of abandoned properties

Hey everyone, I pass by older houses that no one seems to live at in really good areas all the time. I have been writing down the addresses down but when I look online I cant find really anything that helps me on the owners info or anything at all really. I am just curious what everyone else does. thanks!
