To Partner or Not To Partner

My husband and I are brand spanking new to real estate investing. We were landlords briefly for a couple of years on a previous townhome but we sold it when our tax advantage expired. We've both been reading, listening, and learning as much as we can, and scanning the market near by for BRRRR opportunities. A few friends have also expressed interest in investing in real estate and a couple of them have suggested partnering up. We're all working professionals with a decent head on our shoulders, good work ethic, and limited RE investing experience. Hubby and I are not really looking for capital esp on this first one, but having partners to split the check with does reduce our risk.

What are some pros and cons to partnering vs going at it alone?

what are some ways to calculate how to split the partnership?

thank you!
