Hi BP,

I'm looking to acquire a non conforming duplex in Spokane Washington. The property is zoned as allowing for 2 units however it's recorded as a SFH with the county. If I do not convert this to a legal duplex am I still able to rent both units?

@Michael DeHaan thanks a lot for your due diligence.

From reading the docs you sent, it's clear to me this is an ADU and I do not want to take the risk of being fined because I won't be living on site. The only way it could work is getting this legally recognized as a non conforming duplex
