Quit claim deed when purchasing home

Marilee Haney
Posted

I am purchasing a home, that I plan on living in for many years.  Me and my “husband” have been separated (not legally) for almost a decade ( reasons not needed here).  I have learned a quit claim deed is what I need to separate this asset.  He is more than willing to sign.  Who do I need to alert to this?  Does the title company need to be involved or do I just deliver a copy?  Any help appreciated!!
