Negative rate mortgages in Denmark! could they happen here?

Reading in USAToday that a bank in Denmark has a 10 year fixed mortgage for -0.5%. They will pay you to take out that loan!

With all the inverted yield drama these last few days I’d like to hear what folks think.

Personally I could see rates getting very low and possibly negative treasuries rates. Hard for me to envision negative mortgage rates though. If it happened asset prices would go bonkers.
