Buyers walked for no reason.. need ideas to facilitate sale

Brandon B.
Posted

Buyers walked at closing over cold feet - contract only allows that I can keep the $10k deposit and says nothing about damages. They said they are scared that the structure is unsound, even though their inspection said its fine. They say they are scared about water in basement but there is NO BASEMENT OR CRAWLSPACE. Buyers will fight this in court to waste as much money as possible so that it is not worth it for me to recover the $10k. What can I do here to help the sale go through? Already cut price $20k after appraisal for home that needs 0 renovation except for new driveway. Any way to get this sale through? Live in NY.

Well, these buyers are Not going to buy it....that should be clear.

Keep/go after the $10k, get it back on the market.
