How long does it take to have a parcel subdivided?

I'm an agent in Upstate South Carolina. I have a property under contract that will need to be subdivided before the lender will approve the loan. I'm wondering how long this process typically takes once the survey has been completed and it is in the hands of the county goverment. I'm assuming that answers to this question will vary widely depending on municipality, but I would love to hear about any and all experiences BP members have had with subdividing parcels, particularly when that subdivision was/is a contract contingency. This deal is taking place in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
