Tax Deed Property with Irs Lien

Shana Anderson
Posted

I have my eye on a property that is listed under tax deed/lands for sale in my county.  It has a total of $52000 lien imposed by the IRS.  One of the liens have been released by default because date of refiling has passed but I am concerned about the remaining balance (37000).  I have read in other post about a 120 day redemption period for the IRS.  Is this still valid?  If not, has anyone ever filed a release or discharge of lien on a property? Please help, its a well hidden gem in an area becoming increasingly popular
