Driving for Dollars - how to contact owner?

Hello!

I continuously hear about driving for dollars as a great way to find deals. Once a property is identified, how do you find the owners information to then contact? Do you ask them if they are interested in selling first or just through out an offer? Do you try and get them to first put out a price they would accept?

Any and all advice would be much appreciated!
