Buying a property with non-permitted work
I am looking at picking up a property for a rental that i am sure had non-permitted work done - a lot of it... This is a foreclosure property. It was a trailer that has been completely bricked over with a roof added and a large bedroom added. The work looks like good craftsmanship, and the place seems structurally sound. Can i get thru closing? Can i get sued by a tenant 'claiming' something later?
