BRRRR a Home while investing? Look for Quad or Triplex?

Hello, to all my military BP members, aspiring BP members, and veteran BP members. I have a question for all of you who will understand the situation I am in. This is the situation: I am moving to Ft. Sill, OK (Lawton, OK) for my next assignment station and want to jump into RE. However, I am having trouble finding the properties that will fit the criteria I'm looking for. My question to you all is. Should I buy a home (VA HOME LOAN) and squeeze it for equity while investing the money I have with a partner/ company or should I gather the money I have a go with one of the properties I see? ANY help is appreciated. Thank you!
