A different kind of open house

My wife says I’m crazy, but I’d like to do something a bit different for our open house. We’re selling our primary residence very soon and will be heading to Tampa. I’d like to have a BBQ with burgers and such during the open house out back. Our back yard is hardscaped and landscaped for entertaining. My idea is to:

1. Showcase how great the yard is for hosting

2. Maybe get some feedback from potential buyers

3. Absorb some of their free time. Homes in our area sell in a week. If buyers are spending time here, they’re not at other open houses. Sounds a bit devious when I write it down, but free food and drinks are hard to pass up.

What do you all think?

Dan
