I feel a guy is pretending to be a mentor to scam me. Not sure.

I posted on a forum about hating my day job, and a guy messages me saying he can help show me the way. He sends me an email and we eventually talk on the phone.

Long story short he's given me his login to a real estate investment course. The course looks legit, but the guy has requested to view my full credit report. I declined for identity theft reasons, he claims that he just wants to know whats so wrong with my credit.

I tell him it is just high utilization, he tells me I need to fix my credit so I can apply for business credit. He says to contact his business contact who specializes in capital funding and get a short-term loan to pay off credit card, and ask for extra to pay a credit restoration company to help improve my credit.

He expects me to get business credit and pay back this short term loan with my earnings from wholesaling - something he told me existed. He says I will cash my first check in 30 days. Both of these sites look very shady and out-dated and I can't find much info about them elsewhere online.

I believe the guy "helping" me is going to get a portion of the loan (with interest) that I wont be able to pay back. He is going to bank on the fact that I can't purchase and flip a home to pay this loan off in a short amount of time.

What do you guys think?
