Finding The Home Owner

Bruce Gibson
Posted

I’m interested in several properties and am attempting to get some under contract. But I don’t know where to find the owners. Any advice?

@Bruce Gibson the are two steps

  1. Find out who the owner is- this would come form tax or land records. This may e online it may not depending on where you are.
  2. Find out how to contact the owner - this is called a skip trace. Just Google people finder and a ton of sites will come up. Many sites will say free an then they redirect you to a pay site. Expect to pay for the information. We sometimes use a private detective. Expect that to cost $75-$400.
