HousingAlerts Is the advice good?

Recently Biggerpockets featured a real estate value forecasting tool called HousingAlerts.  The developer claims to have better results than other forecasters, through using a different way of analyzing real estate trends than anyone else.  Specifically he relies on technical analysis of real estate prices rather than the more traditional fundamental analysis of local economic conditions.   The tool looks handy to use.  BUT IS HIS ANALYSIS RIGHT?  Anybody have a feel for it?
