Depreciation on investment property question

Any tax expert up here regarding investment property? Do you know if taking depreciation on rental property will hurt your 

mortgage application in the future since taking property depreciation will make my investment as a lost even thought it is not really a loss without depreciation expense. The reason I am asking this is I plan to buy more worry taking depreciation on my rental might hurt my mortgage application. Thanks so much!
