Is this legal????

A guy that audits banks and has access to properties that have not paid on their mortgage in several months. They are not per-forclousres they are simply home owners who have not made a payment in a couple of month.

I wanted to ask you guys if it is illegal for me to receive this information before I even move on with this. What do you guys think?
