Some of the articles out there base their data on homeowners, not investors. Richmond might be a great place to raise a family, but it doesn't mean its the best place for investing.

Cleveland is a solid place to invest, you may even do better than $100k and still be in good parts of town. One thing to lookout for with traditional turnkey properties is the price of the asset compared to its market value. Last thing you want is to buy a turnkey labeled property for $100k when all neighboring properties are selling for $65k.
