Second Property Consideration/checklists

Hi All; 

Looking at possibly purchasing my second property.   However, this one might be a property that I live in at some point in the future.  I love the property but a little hesitant on moving forward.  With whispers about an impending downturn in the economy I do know that I can't time the market.  So, what are your checklists and considerations you had before purchasing your second property?
