Shop house rental in the north west
Hello fellow investors,
I work for a pole barn/shop contractor in the northwest, and I have 5 acres with my primary home on it. I am considering on building a shop and house all in one on my personal property (I would build a 8’ tall fence so we can have our privacy). With that said, I can get the structure shell at cost, and hire out the finish work and act as a GC. I posted an ad on Craigslist to see how many hits I would get for a 2b/2b, 900sq ft house with a 600sq ft shop with porch, for $1,300 a month. I received a ton of interest in the first hour, then immediately deleted ad.
What are your thoughts on something like this? I have already talked to the planning and zoning and I have a green light. I would also open a property management biz so they don’t know I would by the landlord. I would be funding it with a refi on my house, which was a brrr :-)
