Rental Properties in Cleveland OH

Hello BP community. Are there any veteran investors in the Cleveland OH area? I now own 3 properties in various parts of the Cleveland suburbs. All have been purchased in the last 12 months. My question is in regards to city inspections. Depending on the city, inspections are required either every other year or with very new tenant. Should I expect that with every inspection there will be violations that need to be addressed? If so, with rehabbed properties what can I expect the costs to be? I have a property in Cleveland Heights, Euclid and Maple Heights. Your input is greatly appreciated. I’m looking to put an offer in on another property in Maple Heights but I’m not a fan of their stricter city inspections with each new tenant. I welcome any experienced input.

@Michael Lewis Maple Heights is solid for single family investments, of which there are plenty.

In single family homes, your tenant should be staying for 2 years plus, unless you / your PM aren't doing a great job with placement and management of the unit.

2-3k solely for city items might be high, up to $1,500 seems more appropriate on a property in fair condition.

With all that said, I still prefer my westside properties where city is rarely ever involved.
