Investing in the Midwest, specifically MN (Twin Cities)
I’m looking to invest in the Twin Cities (MN). Specifically SF, Duplex, or Triplex. I’m curious to get the opinions and advice of others who currently own investment real estate in this area or looking to pursue this area.

@Zach Goodwin the Twin Cities is a good place to invest. The rental market is strong with the only potential issue is the overbuilding of the class A market. This is leading to vacancy in the Class A market that could trickle down and suppress rents in over classes.
Things sell quickly usually less than a week, so you need to be ready to pull the trigger. Also no one is giving away equity, prices reflect the opportunity. In both major cities the inspectors are by the book, typically in the “most” suburbs they are a little more lax. In the city the regulations are also a risk as you don’t know what the council will do next, and they are extremely tenant friendly.
Generally the area is good though, we tend not to be affected by recession as bad as the rest of the country and most areas are safe.
