Finding Deals in Southern California; What Works Best for You?

Hello BP Community,

I'm currently in the process of trying to find my first deal, I already have a lender in place for financing. I believe i have a rather strong understanding of the process of rehabbing and flipping houses, and I've just now feel 100% ready to dive into this. I've tried a few things such as creating a few "we buy houses" type of ads. I search websites such as realtor.com, zillow, redfin, looking for houses on the market. I've called multiple wholesalers and agents to try and get someone to do the searching for me as well (even though i definitely would like to expand that network 10x over). I'm still just starting so i know that deals will come with persistence, but i'm just curious if there is any investors in the southern California area that have had some particular success with certain methods, I currently live in San Diego. Thank you in advance for any help!
