Looking to Connect w/ Bay Area investors focused on Indianapolis
I’m an investor based in Redwood City, CA and have been looking into doing BRRRRs in the Indianapolis market. I’ve been calling several companies that I found either from Google or BiggerPockets and haven’t found much success in finding an agent who is familiar with and can work with my strategy.
Are there other investors in the Bay Area that are BRRRRing in Indianapolis? I would love to organize a meetup, so feel free to introduce yourself here or connect with me via email (the.michaeltangelo) or on BP!
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Hi Michael,
Welcome to Biggerpockets. It’s understandable from my POV as an observer. Why would any local Indy folks want to give you these kinds of deals? Wouldn’t it make sense that they keep the deals to themselves. Also, that’s also the job of the turnkey providers. You’re trying to take away their lunch. 😁
As crazy as it may sound, I'm a local investor who employ this BRRRR approach in the expensive San Jose market. Gasp! I heard it's next to impossible to do it here. Well, at least that's what the turnkey providers and marketers and the lazy California investor wannabes are saying on BP. In fact, there are several local investors on BP who are not only doing it, but they're killing it, in several different markets across the Bay. They make me look bad. That's how well they're doing.
I hope you find your pot of gold in Indy. Several of us found our pot of gold right here at home fortunately. Our market is so lucrative that you can’t get myself or any of these folks to invest anywhere else.
Before you write off our market and venture into other cheaper markets, I suggest you give some thought to this saying from Master Oogway “One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.” It has served me well.
Best of luck with your real estate endeavors. It’s a rewarding journey if you can figure it out.
Have a great weekend.
