Contracts and guidance for new construction/rehabs

Hey,

So in the next few months I will be starting work on two new construction duplexes, and two gut remodel triplex conversions in Philadelphia.

I’m new to this and have only done simpler remodels in the past which I have GC’d myself.

With these upcoming projects I do intend to bid out to multiple vetted GC’s and wanted to turn to the BP community and to those who have experience that I do not in hopes furthering my education in real estate and protecting myself from unwanted dealings and outcomes.

Is there any guidance or feedback you can provide? Are there specific contracts I should require the GC’s to sign to protect myself from bad workmanship, construction delays, etc.?

Thanks in advance!

Mayer
