How can I compensate my business partner

I am out of state investor. I am about to have a relationship with my partner on ground. 

What kind of agreement can I have with him so he benefits from the relationship as well. He is a property manager, and I plan to use him to manage all of my properties after the rehab is done.

What other benefits can I give him so he can treat my business as his own? Equity, etc?
