Are Sandwich Lease Options Still Legal?

Hey BP family!

Are Lease Option Sandwich deals still legal? This is the strategy I am attracted to for getting started in real estate, but have been seeing talk in the forums from a few years ago that some laws got passed that may make sandwich lease options illegal?

I am in Illinois if you know anything state specific.

Thanks so much!

Yes, they are legal. Funny thing, I am considering branching out into Illinois.
