Quick question about selling our house

We are in the process of selling our house.  Everything feels like we are getting squeezed real tight on time.  The people that are buying are house have a contingency offer on their house that has to be met by 12-18-2018.  But our closing date 1-3-2018.  We do not want to sign papers to lease property for my business or for a place to live until we know we are going to close.  So time would be real tight for us to do this by the 1-3-2018 date.  What does MECRH + 45 days means?
