Taking me a while to get my first property under contract

I've been going really hard with my agent finding deals on MLS for fix and flips. I have run across a few good properties but i am just now getting into the "make an offer" stage. I have a property in mind but it has been on hold for the last 9 days because of one thing or another. Hopefully next week we can start bidding on it. Looks promising. I am on MLS, Trulia, Zillow, and Craigslist every night looking for properties. I plan to start reaching out more to wholesalers. I know this takes time and wont always come easy, i am completely prepared for the grind. My question is, how long did it take you to get your first property and what method did you use to get it?
