Idea /Opinion for House hacking near San Francisco

Hi All,

Hope you all had a good holidays, My daughter is starting her first job in San Francisco this January so I am thinking that she should buy home instead of renting.

So my idea is to she should buy home with 15-20 minutes Bart/train distance from SFO (oakland/pleasanton) etc , 

So how find something 2000 to 5000 (lot size) upper fixer will be available between 600 to 800K 

Few points.

1. She will be buying this on her name, her appox salary is 100K/annum and she can put 60-80K down.
2. We don't care about school district, neighborhood has to safe and close to train station.
3. How to secure loan , FHA or something for first time buyer

Anyone who deals in that area can PM also.
