Looking for a first time fixer/hold

Hello people. I'm looking for a first time fixer property. Essentially, a family home that I can build equity into as a stepping stone to future investing. I have extensive flipping/rehabbing experience in the UK, but i'm new to Dallas. I'm open to location. Looking for the next oak cliff?. I want to buy a fixer and live in it for 2-3yrs. Any suggestions or advice on growth areas, lending tips etc will be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.
