Broker Connected To LLC To Legally Operate in NYS
Good evening BP,
We are looking to open a Property Management Company in NYS.
We are looking to begin opening up these services to third party operators as we currently manage a little over 100 units in house.
It is understood that we need a brokers license to hang our business on and we are in talks with several brokers.
The question is, how does the broker have to be connected to the company within the entity for us to legally be able to operate in the state.
Can they be in an advisory position (Board of Directors) or do they have to be a partner with equity.
If anybody has any information on this topic it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
