Operating or Rehabilitation Loan Question.
Operating or Rehabilitation Loan: Best way to get given our circumstances? My wife and I own two homes requiring some fixing and rehabilitation. One we'd like to sell, the other to rent. The third home is our own, not for sale or rent, but could use some fixing. We have free and clear equity (except for some back property taxes) including our own home amounting to at least 260,000. We rely upon Social Security and ad-hoc selling of objects for our income. We need about 20,000 to 50,000 to hire contractors. We are in a semi-rural area. Our bank is not local, but Wells Fargo. We have little in our account and our credit is not too good. What would you do if you were us? Advice much appreciated. Thanks.
