Door Knocking for Real Estate Wholesaling

Greetings everyone!

I am finally getting my marketing campaign for wholesaling in Wilmington up and running. I've put out around 50 bandit signs so far and will continuously add to them. Unfortunately I've yet to receive any interest so I have decided to explore other options. I have a couple of questions I hope one of you could help answer for me. The first of which is concerned with driving for dollars. Once I find a distressed property, what is the best way to get in contact with these owners? Secondly, what thoughts do you have on door knocking to ask if people are willing to sell their house. If it's a good idea, any pointers you may have for someone who has never door knocked?

Thank you all and I look forward to reading your responses!

@Jonathan Abbott There is a guy in my area that absolutely KILLS IT with Door Knocking as part of his strategy.

He's doing more deals than most wholesalers I know in Pittsburgh.....

Just like everything else it takes some time and some persistence, but based on what I've seen him do I'd definitely recommend it.

For getting in touch with owners you can use an app like people looker (That's what I use) to track down phone numbers. Then you can cold call.  You can mail them. You can leave a door hanger or something. Plenty of ways all of which will hit different people different ways.
