Finding a real estate meet up near me or how do I start one

I live in Hattiesburg Mississippi and am looking for a real estate investors meet up near me. I have talked to several realtors in my area and they all tell me there is no such thing, there is too much competition for them to meet up and talk about deals and how the business work. I don’t know if I am asking the wrong questions or talking to the wrong people but does anyone on here know of something like this in my area or know how to start something like this?

Hi Jacob! Yes, we do have a group here in Hattiesburg that meets once a month (3rd Thursday) at the Magnolia Bank on hwy 98.  I believe the next one will be in DEC, but due to the holiday it might change.
