Question about FHA loan

Hugo Garcia
Posted

Hi everyone,

I have a question about FHA loan, can you get two FHA loans at the same time if you are living in both places at the same time, meaning back and forth, or can you online get one at a time and live in that place for a year and the get another one?

Thank you.

@Hugo Garcia, if I read your post correctly, you're not talking about buying two duplexes in different parts of the country at the same time, right?

ie. You can always apply to buy one duplex, or one triplex, or even one quadplex, without trying to prove that you're living in all the units at the same time!

Here on BP, it's called "house hacking", meaning you can legitimately buy (up to) a quadplex via a FHA (or perhaps even a conventional owner-occupier) loan, and rent out the other (up to) three units to help with your expenses. In fact, your FHA-approved Lender will want you to rent out the other units, and want your purchase to be self-sustaining! Cheers...
