How to choose a market

Hi everyone!

Looking to get into my first BRRR within the next 6 months, I've been researching and educating myself about the process as much as possible and I'm starting to get comfortable with the process. I've been browsing marketplaces but can't seem to hone in on just one. Maybe its just analysis paralysis, but I wonder, what are the steps seasoned investors take before deciding to enter a new marketplace? How can I take the proper steps to ensure that I'm making a smart investment? I'm open to long distance investing.
