Do you use a bird dog and if so what do you look for in a birddog

I'm curious how many people have used a bird dog when looking for investments. I have not personally used one, but I'm certainly not opposed to using a birddog.

For those of you that do use birddogs, tell us what you expect from them and what abilities you expect them to have. I seem to remember a couple of threads where some thought birddogs were not helpful.

I think this might be helpful to birddogs and those that might use a birddog.
