I don't like BIG property management companies. My property, and myself, are just a number. I don't want newbies either. I prefer experienced property managers, at least 5 years experience, with a few dozen properties under their belt. They have to be easy to talk to, flexible with MY terms, and responsive. Finally, get references. Any PM that nickel and dimes me so they can hook up their contractor buddies or get kick-backs will find themselves replaced ASAP.
