Looking for a good book that teaches underwriting.

Hello all,

I am looking for some recommendations on a book that will help me navigate the underwriting process a little more clean.

I just came off a deal where my lender held up the closing of the loan on multiple occasions. The deal ended up going through but it could have slipped out of my reach very easily. The bank I was using was one of the few banks that provided the loan product I was looking for, so I was stuck in hard place where it seemed out of my hands to help the process along and there was no shopping for another lender as a fall back plan.

I always try and pre-underwrite my deals for my lender but it appears I need to be better at it then I have been with this last purchase.

Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
