Due Diligence for an Auction
Hi Everyone -
This is my first post, wanted to introduce myself first and had a question which I'm hoping someone can answer or hopefully guide me in the right direction.
I'm from central NJ and new to real estate. I've been reading books and trying to build my knowlege but haven't put anything into practice yet.
I was browsing Auction.com and saw a listing for a great house in an area that I know fairly well, however I know nothing about Auctions (except for the basics listed on their website). The auction is in just two days and I had a question. What is the best way for me to find out if there are any tax liens or secondary mortgages on the house? I assume a title report would show this information, but considering that I only have two days (more like 1 full day), I assume this option is out. Are their any online resources I can use, something that is reliable and quick? Is there any advice those that have bought at auctions can recommend?
P.S. if anyone is in the central Jersey area and would like to grab coffee and talk real estate, let me know. Would love to meet new people.
Thank you!!
