Seller likes the offer but wants to close in January (3-4 months)

Made an offer on a property that matched the seller's asking price. Seller likes the offer but would want to close on the property in 3-4 months from now (January 2019).  For some tax related situation he does not want to close this year.

Anyone else has run into this scenario? How did you deal with it?

Looking for:

- best way to approach the situation?

- creative solutions or agreements that could be put in place.

- all possible suggestions.

I know I can let it go but before doing that, want to see if there is a way to make something happen that may work out for me and the seller.

@Gaurav A. Happens all the time. People are often waiting for something to be built or they have some financially related timing issues. You just have to be willing to wait while the house is in contract until January.
