Help - Has anyone had their identify stolen?

Hi all.

My husband and I recently discovered that our identifies were stolen.  We have had several credit cards opened in our names.  The cards were maxed out and then tossed.  The credit card companies have told us that it takes up to 90 days to investigate and remove from your credit report and our credit scores are being destroyed. In addition, the sheriffs office we filed the reports with has told us basically good luck.  Every day something else pops up, and I was notified yesterday that my ss was found on the dark web.  I locked our reports shortly after finding out and Experian just notified me that they blocked another loan attempt.  Here is my questions: 1) If its happened to you, how long does it go on? 2) How long does it take for your credit score to recover? 3) Any advice to get through this?
