CA investor looking to do long distance buy and hold
I am a new investor from San Diego, CA. I want to invest in some rental properties but can't afford anything in my area for obvious reasons. What is the best city in the US to buy rentals in? I want to invest in an area that will give me some positive cash flow but Im open to anything that will build some equity as long as its not going to put me in the negative.
Looking for SFRs or small multi family units to start. Are there any cities in CA that are reasonably affordable that aren't in C- neighborhoods? I would love to hear about how anyone in CA has gone about doing an out of state purchase and their experience with managing the property.
