How to get private money?

I am ready to dive into real estate, watched several of the bigger pockets webinars, listened to the podcasts and read several books. All have simply said just take ACTION! Which I would love to do, but the one issue having the funds to get started. I would like to know how to get started using private money? Where/ Who I can get private funding from? I would like to start renting single family homes in the state of Michigan. I would like to purchase 2 or 3 properties before the year ends.
