The greatest power of Biggerpockets...is CONNECTION.

Yup, connection with ambitious, driven, intelligent, like-minded individuals. People you want to hang out with everyday. You really can't beat it.

Last night, I got the amazing opportunity to meet the legend @Jay Hinrichs and his lovely wife in person.

You see, Jay has been following my journey in real estate investing for the past year and a half. He's always been there to voice his opinions and offer invaluable advice. Whenever I posted about my glorious highs or devastating lows, I knew Jay would be there.

It's crazy. I only just met him in person for the first time last night. But, I'm sure we both felt like we've known each other for awhile now. And that brings me back to the point of this post.

CONNECTION.

It all started in December of 2016 when @Ake S. reached out to me on BP. We both had just closed on our first out-of-state rental properties and coincidentally worked for the same University. Monthly dinners were planned and we routinely hung out and chatted about investing and life. Then I organized a little meetup where @Nick James came into the picture, bringing in his local experience having renovated a duplex in Oakland. @DrewSing took me out to Thai Food one time, he recently bought a 5 bedroom fixer in Washington, and the rest is history. @Ernesto Hernandez gave me a call randomly one day to chat about the Indianapolis market, and he's already doing big things out there and creating a TON of value for the community. Crazy to see how far we've all come in under 2 years. Two of these guys quit their jobs to focus on real estate for a little and are supported by their investments.

Oh yeah, aside from these strong personal connections, I met my agent, property managers, lender, and inspector all through...you guessed it...Biggerpockets.

I'm really not sure if any of these connections would have formed without Biggerpockets. I am forever grateful. This is such a powerful platform.

I don't really like to post, but it's been really great to journey along side you and the group that we have. Like I always say, you guys motivate me to continue to develop and grow. The ideas, and conversations we've had not only support my REI, but helps enrich my life.
