AquaGuard & Realtors
MY question: Does the AquaGuard company pay a finder's fee to realtors who pitch their services?
I am selling a flip home in Atlanta. The buyer's inspector wrote a report. One of the items was tiny dots of mold in the crawlspace. Once we received the report, the buyer's realtor called and he strongly "recommended" AquaGuard. A bit odd. We had structural problems in the roof and foundation that needed resolving... and the realtor singles out mold remediation. After we had received bids from local companies, we called AquaGuard.
The buyer's realtor called us AGAIN wanting to know if we had AG bid and are we going to use them. He became "huffy" when we mentioned their very high price. I swear the realtor had a commission check already spent in this head.
If you are familiar with AquaGuard's services... read no further. A company brief follows.
AquaGuard is a wet crawlspace, mold remediation contractor. I don't know if AG is here in Georgia only or nationwide. They are VERY expensive. They are a "gold-standard" business. Over-the-top remedies better directed towards homeowners. For investors like me, I can't afford gold-standard ANYTHING. Windows & doors - nope. Flooring - nope. Appliances - nope. You get the picture.
They are SO expensive, they bring in a "deal closer" at the end of the salesman's pitch. He's in a car parked around the corner I suppose. I would think this premium service must meet high buyer resistance. So maybe... just maybe, they have begun to contact realtors. Realtor have the trust of their clients. Realtors have access to a high number of homes... a huge audience.
Just a thought.
