Open permit?
I'm making an offer on HUD house, and there are two expired permits, one on a re-roof, the other on something trivial. It was re-roofed 6 years ago--the work was already done, but they never had the final inspection. From the outside the roof looks fine, and inside there are no apparent leaks or mold. Would you just leave the issue alone until the house needs to be re-roofed again? Or try to get the permit finished as soon as I buy the house? (Also, since it will be a rental, I cannot pull the permit myself)
