Getting started in Connecticut.

Posted

Hi everyone. My name is Dimitrios and I am from Greenwich, CT.  I am so excited to be join this community and very inspired to start my journey investing in rental properties.  After listening to podcasts, reading a few books, and reading this blog,  I feel that I am ready to take that next big step.  I still have a lot things that I need to learn but I keep hearing the best way is to just do it.  I am looking to become a landlord and purchase a multi-family home in Greenwich, CT or Westchester, NY.  The problem I finding that the houses are really expensive, that I can afford, but I think the market is great.  I am looking for advice on how to obtain these properties with low income.  I have some money saved but I know it is not enough?  My goal is to potentially purchase my first property by the end of this year.  I have already started looking for deals and have found a couple that I think could be a great start.  They are fixer uppers but are in great neighborhoods and have promising appreciation value in the next five years.  One of these properties have a motivated seller and I want to jump on it.  Any advice would be great.  Thank you.
